History and mission

The story behind LoveToi cosmetics:

WHO ARE WE?

We are two twins and two nurses with a background as beauticians who decided to put forward our knowledge and our passion to create a range of cosmetic products made from green biotechnology! We want to help women feel better about themselves and give themselves more self-love! Above all, we want to convey a big message behind our cosmetic products; that of LOVING YOURSELF where our name LoveToi comes from!

WHERE DID THE IDEA OF GETTING STARTED COME FROM?

The idea of ​​developing cosmetic products came from the moment when I (Sarah) started having more and more stretch marks on my body without knowing the cause. To my surprise, they were caused by a rare disease that I was later diagnosed with; Cushing's disease.

I was desperately looking for a natural anti-stretch mark cream that was both effective in preventing and reducing my stretch marks. I also wanted cosmetic products without endocrine disruptors since I had become more conscientious about what I put on my skin after developing an endocrine (hormonal) disease. I was constantly trying products, but I was never satisfied with either the choice of ingredients or the concentrations. I really wanted to have a solution for my stretch marks so I said to myself why not create my own cream since I had nothing more to lose!

When I spoke about this somewhat crazy idea to my sister Amélie she replied; ''Why not, I believe in you. It's an excellent idea!'' My sister immediately believed in the project without hesitation and from there a great adventure began. What could be better than being able to live this dream with your faithful accomplice.

OUR BACKGROUND

Before becoming a professional nurse, I was a beautician and cosmetician for a long time. I also worked in medical aesthetics and performed various treatments on clients, including certain anti-stretch mark treatments. Amélie is also a nurse and works in dermatology which is a great asset for our cosmetics. Our experiences and knowledge have given us a great advantage in the creation of our cosmetics made in collaboration with chemists.

OUR LOVETOI MOVEMENT

We were keen to create more than a range of cosmetics, we also wanted to create the LoveToi movement! Behind our products, there is a great love story, that of loving yourself first and foremost.

When we created our Lovetoi project, we ourselves were learning to truly love ourselves for the first time in our lives.

Cushing's disease had changed my face and body a lot, my appearance was hugely impacted by the disease. The relationship I had with my body had completely changed... I had to adapt to this new body and learn to love it again, because it is so much more than just its appearance!

At the same time, my sister Amélie was also going through a great ordeal; his breakup after more than 10 years. She had to learn to love herself and say yes to herself first.

Each of us going through the greatest ordeal of our lives, we have learned to love each other. I learned to love myself externally while Amélie learned to love herself internally.

Through our trials, we have concretely learned the importance of loving ourselves internally and externally!

OUR MISSION:

LoveToi comes from the idea that every woman deserves to be celebrated and loved for her true worth! Our mission is to help women reconnect with themselves and their bodies by consciously pampering themselves with caring cosmetics made with love for each of them. We want them to give themselves all the love they deserve with healthy and effective products.
